Potentially Carolina's goalie of the future. Relatively young for NHL standards. Has split time between the AHL and NHL. When thrust into action at the NHL level he has provided steady results overall.
Somewhat stationary look to his game. Almost robotic with his tracking and positioning in the crease. Relies heavily squaring up to the play while remaining in the blue paint. Surprises, at times, with how quick he can move and recover. Other times he looks like he has misjudged the speed of the play in front of him and doesn't get set in time ... resulting in goals from mid-range ... especially half way up his pads on each side.
