Lyubushkin is easily identified.
He's a, mostly, stay at home defenceman who plays a heavy style.
He, and Gudas, combined are making life miserable on opponents early in the 23/24 season for the Ducks.
Lyubushkin is an average plus skater who needs to properly time his gaps and keep the play in front of him to be effective. If plays slip behind him he's not a great chaser trying to recover.
The bulk of his ice time comes at ES and PK.
Any offense he generates is a bonus.
His job is to keep the puck out of his net and play a physical / shot blocking style.
Through the first 14GP he's averaged 16:47 TOI - 13:47 ES - 2:58 PK
Exactly to his identity ... he has been credited with 22 hits and 35 shot blocks.
