Polarizing.
His best shifts provide compete, on and off the puck, and he produces better than secondary scoring. All of his ice time comes at ES and PP. Does not PK.
Can be quick to space and a threat off the rush at times. Before arriving in the NHL he was a prolific scorer in junior, but he has yet to eclipse 60 points in an NHL season. His salary calls for more production and more reliable impact overall.
Can make plays in tight quarters and escape pressure.
Has positive attributes, but there are nights his offensive zone exits and secondary compete are well below reliable.
Reports indicate he has asked for trade out of Vancouver and the team has given him permission to search out a deal.
