Cap of 83m in 2019/20....doubtful. I really think the Leafs can't afford Gardiner. Can't see Marner at centre

If the players union utilize the full 5% inflator each year going forward, the cap will be $82,687,500 in 19-20.
I want Gariner to stay, but not at Doughty prices. I think $5.5 is fair if he wants to win cups.
I figure Marner or Nylander will take over the Bozak position, I just figure Bab's is making Marner learn the same Kadri had to learn. Defence first, goals will come.

I think it get's a little silly, that so many Leafs fans think players are taking discounts "because they want to win Cups. It seems to be so persuasive in so many posts. And what about Rosen and Borgman with bonuses they make more than 1.5m you pay them as regulars in their 3rd year regulars. I'm not saying Marner will continue in this two week funk, but if it does, he might settle for less in bridge contract.

Great looking team that has the potential to be a really special team. I agree 100% with you that Marner will be moved to centre ice in the future to fully utitlize his playmaking skills and open up forward positons for others prospects and create a second dynamic offensive line.

I think Andrew Nielsen may also be on this team to add some size to the defence. Yegor Korshov may be the real wildcard of all Leafs prospects and could emerge as a power forward scoring leftwinger down the road.
