If I was the sens I wouldnt trade turris for oreilly. The sabes would then have to resign turris for money that I think oreilly is getting now. Tim Murray overpaid oreilly IMO

Detroit easily matches that offer sheet, Try more like $4 million+ for Holland to take the picks.

How? They have literally no cap space.

They could demote players, just outright cut them or place them on IR and then Trade Sheehan. Not a problem.

So circumvent the cap, got it. You can only buyout players in in June, except for the 3 day arbitration rule which is not applicable here. Im pretty sure every player on det eligible for IR is already on IR. Also you need to have a second team to trade with so thats not going to be as easy as it sounds.

Who would you demote? Most of the players on the roster that are on one-way deals that wouldn't save much space. You can't outright "cut" players under contract. You can't place players on IR who are not injured. Do you really expect to be able to trade Sheahan without getting absolutely fleeced when the entire league knows you need to get rid of him to match the offer sheet?

Seriously curious what you're plan would be. It's a problem.
