Very REAL rumour between Mtl-Det

Created by: BarDownski
Team: 2017-18 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 7, 2017

Description
something I've heard being whispered around that is gaining some serious steam. Bergevin is trying to trade Davidson not to lose him for nothing on waivers. Carr as well is refusing to report to Laval. For Detroit, they believe Sheahan needs a fresh start somewhere else & im guessing they believe Davidson could bounce back(?) Were talking about two guys who had very solid years 2 years ago & rough years last year.

Why? Would Detroit be the least interested in Brandon Davidson, The guy is a bottom pairing D man at best i would've rather kept Sproul up then Davidson the last thing Detroit can afford is to add another D man it's already crowded in Grand Rapids and Detroit and we've drafted tons of future D men in the last two drafts and nowhere to put them. Detroit isn't the bit interested in Davidson we would want Jake Bean or Dante Fabbro or maybe Haydn Fleaury guys like that.

I'm sorry what? I hope you know we are talking about Riley Sheahan here and not Larkin or Mantha.. There is NO way you guys are getting any of those 3 for Sheahan.. Cmon man. I'm just stating what I heard - believe me when I say im not the least bit interested in Sheahan and his 2 goals in 80 games. Also, I'm pretty sure Davidson is better than Witkowski and on par with Ouellet and Jensen.. This trade gives DET some cap relief and clears a spot up front if/when AA signs.

Are the rumours involving Detroit or just Montreal? I think that Davidson should definitely be traded, and even though I really like Carr, if he doesn’t want to be here then we might as well go and give him a better chance at a new start.

First off i've never said that we would get those guys for Sheahan? What i said is they're the kind of D men that Detroit would be seeking not a bottom pairing Brandon Davidson not sure where you heard this rumor of a possible Sheahan to Montreal without AA signed no way is Holland trading Sheahan and even if we do trade Sheahan Holland isn't going to offer AA any more then his current $1.9 million for 2 years. As far as comparing Davidson with both Ouellet and Jensen is crazy as both are legit top 4 D men and Davidson is a bottom 6 scrub not sure where you heard this rumor and i'm sure it has no merit here as Holland has said on record that he's not dealing Sheahan unless AA resigns and as of now that looks like a long shot.

That's all I need to know about your hockey knowledge. Name me one team besides DET & VGK where these guys are LEGIT top 4D. Just one. Even in Colorado they are behind EJ, Barrie, Zadorov & AT BEST on par with Barberio & Nemeth
