Why would Edmonton broker the deal through Montreal if they could simply do it alone? Sure they would have far more interest in MacKinnon than the Montreal Duo! Eithr way it's an overpayment!

Oilers...Flyers, whatever team you do next.

You wont Pacioretty in a deal to get the pieces to get MacKinnon. No one is going to think this is a good trade or idea. MacKinnon isn't being sold off and Montreal will never get MacKinnon. Your GM screwed up this offseason not getting any true Top 6 Centers. You wont be getting the Avs franchise 1C

Canadiens - Oilers trade helps neither of the teams and neither team wants to trade the players.
For example Oilers Fans don't want to get rid of Bear or Puljujarvi and Canadiens don't want to lose their top goal scorer in Pacioretty or close to NHL prospect Nikita Sherbak.
