Initial Creation Date: Nov. 20, 2015

Description
Boyle is from OTT and may waive his NTC to play there. If OTT wants him.

I do not think COL wants to trade Barrie but, COL could use a player like Brassard.

Boyle isn't waiving his NMC. Rangers may be in Stanley Cup finals next year and win or lose he's retiring so why uproot his life to go to another team. Also we don't need Marleau, he's old his contract is awful, and Miller alone won't land him. There's nothing wrong with our forwards right now so I wouldn't make any moves

Well, his family does not live in New York with him. If OTT is in the playoff hunt he might waive his NTC. Barrie is a great D-man and it would be great to get him. SJ wants Marleu and Thorton out so, they may take Miller for him and Marleu is better than Miller now.

Understandable, but I'd be shocked if he waived. Besides, he hasn't been that bad this season, I would not want him to be traded unless the return was too good to refuse (it probably wouldn't be).

He wouldn't crack the a roster spot if the NYR got Barrie from COL. Why would he stay?

Barrie still has value as an upcoming RFA for Colorado. How's this trade.....Barrie and 2.6m this year for Klein and JT Miller. Rangers might have to add a more. Barrie gets about the departed Boyle's salary next year. Colorado gets a serviceable Dman for three years and the potential of JT Miller.

The problem with trading Klein this year is that would weaken their 3rd pairing. I like Klein, as he plays are real good 2 way game. He will be great to have on that 3rd pairing for the next few years. Plus he is a righty, which is hard to find.

The one problem with the line up you propose is the cap obligations going into next year. Marleau's on team and the RFAs next summer,,,Barrie, Kreider, Hayes, Etem all will get raises. Plus Yandle will be gone without any money left. Good to strengthen defence with Barrie, but centre ice looks a little thin, offence wise. Any injury to Stepan or Hayes really would sink the Rangers.
