Description
First of all Peter Chiarelli loves doing straight trades like Eberle-Strome and Hall-Larsson. So I can see this trade happening. Also this trade doesn't make over cap next year,for the Oliers and also habs are looking for a No.1 Center. You probably thinking that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is not a No. 1 Center well he is going to be one! Also this trade can happen because Gallgher is from Edmonton! I did the second trade because Perron is to replace Gallagher and because he is from Quebec!And Vegas Loves Picks!

As you say, Chiarelli loves the one for one deals, and you believe that RNH is going to be a #1! But I doubt Edmonton has one on one interest in a declining injury prone Gallagher! So let's talk Drouin, straight up! Pacioretty straight up! Or Weber straight up with Montreal taking back about $3M/year. Didn't think so!

You mean the guy with 34/55 last year and 43/82 this year? Not to mention his 4 points in 13 games in playoffs. Not to mention the guy making 6M for the next 4 years... Gally at 3.75 for 4 more years is more than fair for Nuge.

I'm guessing you'll argue he played "REALLY tough minutes" but his best year in career was 41 even strength points playing over 20min/game with Hall/Ebs and having a 63% OzS%

You want a comparaison for the last 2 years? Plekanec.

Nuge:
15-16: 34 in 55 = 51 points over 82 game season. 48.8 CF% 52% OzS%
16-17: 43 in 82. 49.6 CF% 50.5 OzS%

Plekanec:
15-16: 54 in 82 53 CF% 46.4% OzS%
16-17: 28 in 78 = 30 in 82 games. 52.6 CF% 39.7%(!) OzS % -> 22 ES points

Now I realize Nuge is younger and thus more valuable -> but talking about Drouin, Pacioretty or Weber (at 4.8M) is absolutely absurd. Educate yourself next time.
