A mid range 1st pick and a prospect? No, sorry. Leafs would never do something like that. The only asset Calgary has that would start a conversation is Hamilton and he would have to come with a package. Nylander just has too much upside to risk losing him like this.

Everyone else has nailed it. Way too low value wise, and doesn't make sense for the Leafs. We are not a rebuilding team, we want to win now.

There is a reason why a trade like this will never happen. Both sides value the players they would have to give up to much.
