Reichel won't be playing center and Levshunov won't be in the NHL.

Yoo're killing me smalls! Reichel isn't a center. If I were a betting man I'd put money on the lines going into a blender to start the season so it's anyone's guess as to who plays where. Your guess is a good as mine.

I agree in that I don't believe Reichel is a center, but I wouldn't be surprised if they put him there. They are going in reverse of how they should have with his development. It almost seems like they are messing him up on purpose. They should have brought him into the NHL, let him get going for a couple seasons, and then just peppered him in and out of a center role to see if it sticks.

Also, everyone in the media, and subsequently the fans too, keep repeating this narrative that "CHI was developing him as a center" and "he played center in rockford", when neither of those things are true. I watched a ton of Rockford games the last few years and he RARELY played center. He has been a winger since coming to North America. That whole experiment was just nonsense, thrusting a first year high upside forward into a role at the NHL level that he is OBVIOUSLY not built for. I don't know if KD directed Rockford to play him at center, they ignored it, and KD just wasn't paying attention, or they are just making up narratives to support ulterior motives. Either way, it's alarming. If it is the former, that looks awful on KD's proficiency and efficacy as an NHL GM, and if it's the latter, that is straight up gaslighting and looks awful on them as an organization.

I actually wouldn’t be surprised to see Korchinski in the AHL to start the year, it is where he belonged last year but rules prevented it from happening.

I could see Del Mastro or Kaiser taking his spot with the Hawks. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see Murphy traded or on LTIR.
