-Domi's contract is a potential steal if he records 45+ points every season in TOR
-OEL's deal is actually good IMO and he provides something that, last offseason, Klingberg couldn't provide the Leafs: puck moving skills while not being a complete defensive liability. While he's not a defensive genius, he's not Barrie or Klingberg level bad which helps the Leafs a ton.
-Tanev is the most steady defensman Rielly will get the play with since the beginning of his career. Since becoming the undisputed #1 defensman in TOR, in 16-17, Rielly has played with guys like Zaitzev, Hunwick, Hainsey, Ceci, Barrie, Brodie and Lyubushkin. Tanev is more steady than all of them, and way more steady than some of them (namely Zaitsev and Hunwick).

I just know that TOR wanted to keep Bertuzzi and, personally, I don't want Bertuzzi anywhere near CHI's rebuild. I would have preferred Domi, for sure.

Tanev is good… but 6 years? That’s way too much term.

It gets the AAV down and given his style of play, it's a near guarantee he spends the last year or two of this contract on LTIR
