Horvat will probably sign around 5.3x6... I like the idea of bringing back Schneider but I think adding that 2nd rounder is a little bit too much... We are getting completely ripped off in that EDM deal... Tanev who is one of the leagues best shutdown defenders and Brisebois who has top 4 upside for Benson who is dealing with injuries in junior and a 1st rounder which will probably be a late first rounder isn't worth it IMO

Edit: Some of these guys won't benefit from being healthy scratches/low ice-time Utica would be a better option for them... Schneider's salary might become an issue when Demko becomes the starter/needs a new contract but acquiring Schneider would let Demko develop properly in the AHL

Yeah agree could maybe get another pick back from EDM. Yeah let him develop in the AHL but also be his mentor in the NHL like Lu was for him.

That Schneider trade is bad man, Schneider is an elite goalie. He's kept NJ in so many games, he just had a not so good season last year.


That Tanev trade is horrible. Tanev could get more than a C+ prospect who gets injured so often and a late 1st. I think there would be another riot in Vancouver if this crappy deal happened
