Was our drafting THAT horrible though..? I mean, we turned our 1st into 2 2nds, a 3rd, and a 5th, so we did gain a couple good assets out of it. As much as I would’ve loved Beaudoin, we do have Calum Ritchie from last year to be a future star center.

Also trade Miles Wood..? I get his contract still has 5 years left, but I don’t think he was THAT bad. He put up numbers to be a good 3rd line/middle 6 winger.

Drafted 3 goalies. Nabokov is only one that's ready.

But both yunin and nabokov are staying in KHL for This season and cloutier is going to college.

Dunno about horrible as most if any won't ever play for the Avs which is normal. Bizarre yes, trading down to have no first rounder this year with no first rounder next year either and then not doing anything really with the picks and then drafting 3 goalies.....not sure CMac or the scouts in Colorado have a clue what they're doing atm.

At least Avs are going after their goalie problem. Nabokov though out of the 3 will probs be the only one that makes the roster in the future. The other 2 from both 5th round picks I highly doubt will ever make the NHL or even get signed. But then again that’s what usually happens with players from the 5th round or later in drafts.

Should've just stuck with nabokov and then went after some physical shutdown dmen.

But they also said this wasn't a strong draft class so maybe that's why they did it.
