perbix didnt perform well last year, and his value is continuing to shrink; and conor sheary has 4M over two years and not many teams are going to take that contract without extra compensation, if any

Just overall wrong. Sheary has one year left at 2 million dollars and can easily be buried by any team with cap space. Perbix has 3-4th round pick value even after his down year. 1.125 is not a cap dump by any means

perbix makes less than 1.15mil which means you can bury him in the minors with no penalty meaning he is not a negative asset and besides he is decent enough teams would pay for him. Also it might cost a 3rd to dump sheary but not a 2nd
