Unfortunately, that will lead to Boston not picking up the phone. They aren’t trading a 19 year old center who’s displayed Poitras skill set at the NHL level for a 2nd line wing prospect.

I’m very open to offering Morgan Geekie and next years first or Fabian Lysell. Might even contemplate Lysell and next years top 10 protected pick.

My assumption is that will not be enough. If I’m a betting man, my guess is that Ehlers and McGroarty are part of a package for Necas and other picks.

if ur expecting that then get ready to lose him in 2 years when he walks for nothing after his signing rights are up. a 19 yearold who is already a 3c and if not for getting hurt would have been top2 voting? I get hes a great prospect and will probably be a top6 fwd but hes still a prospect u will get a 1st + mid prospect/bottom NHLer. anything more most teams wont even consider it esp considering the kid has told u he will never sign for ur team. that drives the price down a ton esp for a prospect.

He is not close to Brock Faber or Luke Hughes, don't kid yourself. Rutger has much more upside than Poitras, and Boston has nothing else of value. It eaither takes Poitras+ or Carlo+.

ur not getting much more then a teams first + middle end prospect. if u think a team will overpay for a prospect thats already wanting out then like i said enjoy lossing him in 2 years when he can walk for nothing. pots would only get moved for an elite C hes 19 already spend time in the NHL and is going to be at worst the same player as rut. He had 15 points in 30 games. was playing middle 6c and was easily on his way to play 2c mins on one of the best teams in the NHL. he was easily on track to get top3 in calder votes

He was not on track to be top 3 in Calder votes, that is ridiculous. Rutger McGroarty has a much higher ceiling, I’ve checked dobber for this.

ur actually clueless and dont watch hockey if u dont think pots was the best rookie outside bedard before his injury that took him out for over 45 games

u seem to forget how underwhelming hughes was at the start of the year and how he ended -25 while getting almost 50 points. Faber was his only completion before his injury and once he went down it didnt really matter pots was never getting top 5 let alone top 3.

50 points is a higher scoring rate than Poitras was on, and Hughes was a defenseman playing top pair minutes. That is seriously more impressive. Faber is on an entire other playing field than Poitras.
