Yeahhh same here. I'm thrilled.

Basha Chernyshov Stiga Ritche Mews Hutson Kiviharju and Massé are still on the board for Day 2.

Hughes says he's working on some more deals for tomorrow. Love the BPA mentality. I want Chernyshov or Basha

Chernyshov could really well be what we need to fill a hole soon. I wonder what we will do with Mesar

U got the 6'7 Letourneau

When you say a Bruin, he's the exact same player that fits the term

I would think we bring depth UFAs, plus Dach healthy, and maturity for the youth, we should be in the 9 to 13 range in the draft next year, which is an improvement

I'm happy with the pick. Impossible to project what he ends up as, but I'll take a guy that has a 20% chance to be a legit top 6 center over a guy that's 100% gonna be a 3C at best

Looking back at the return for Ullmark, its pretty awful

Letourneau Korpisaalo and Kastelic for Ullmark

Also i'm very doubtful about Letourneau becoming a top6 center. Probably going to be a 3C

I would have preferred that mtl exchanged on the 21st for a lundell or a good center young

Oh we will be better for sure! I just dont think playoffs hope start after pur yound defense gets experience, demidov comes over and we can be more agressive with FA.

Yeah it was a garbage trade, I don't think it took until after the draft to realize that lol, obviously all good players would be gone by then. Letourneau was only the 25th pick, yet was the 11th center taken... They needed one of two things: either a high end draft pick (top 15) or at the very least, just some cap space. They got neither. Most players picked in the late first round never make the NHL, so Letourneau is just a gamble they decided to take, which I'm all for honestly.

There is reason for slight optimism, of all players selected in the 25-29 range since 2011, one of them actually has turned into a top 6 center. It is Tage Thompson, who Letourneau models his game after, and they have one specific trait in common
