Definitely not good enough for Ehlers. Tbh the Oilers don't really have a player the Jets want in return for Ehlers.

I don't think any of those pieces are particularly desirable for the Hawks. I'd accept Ceci and a 2nd for a 3rd, and maybe even throw in a 4th or 5th too, but it'll take quality, not quantity, for the Hawks to make a trade.

David Pagnotta said the jets are looking for a first rounder + young NHL forward, might have to add a pick since the first is probably later, but this trade fits their asking price. McLeod can also play wing

I feel this is fair and something the hawks would consider if they have a hole in their lineup after FA, I don't think many teams are gonna get a trade like the Walman - SJ trade

They definitely want a better first rounder and a better player. This is a silly price to sell a full year of Ehlers for. And don't bother addding a 3rd and a 4th, those don't mean anything.

Tbh I wanted to puke when hearing they would trade him for a 1st round pick and a young player. There is no point in doing that, just keep Ehlers.

Even if Pagnota wasn't talking out of his butt, I dont think EDM's 1st and McLeod would be the best 1st and young NHL forward out there.

It might be fair value. What I'm saying is, between 2022 and 2026, the Hawks have made (or currently have) 10 1st round picks, 12 2nd round picks, and 9 3rd round picks. Whoever we take with the picks you're trading are going to be later picks in a crowded system. It's not a trade that's well designed to the Hawks needs. Honestly, it's significantly less value for the Hawks perthe pick charts, but I'd much rather get a 2026 3rd, #64, and Ceci for #72.
