maybe I'm way off here, but as an Avs fan some of these proposals with McGroarty are wild - he's a good prospect, mid first rounder, who doesn't want to sign... he's didn't score 25 in the NHL last year...

He's one of the best prospects in the NHL, he's exceeded his mid round value in spades.

I guess it depends how we measure 'one of the best' but your overall point stands - he's inarguably far more valuable than a mid round pick, let alone #20 listed here. I just meant more generally, he seems to be treated in some proposals (not this one) as a Gauthier / Will Smith tier of asset. if that makes sense.
