I hate it but just do it

Description
I hate the idea of trading for Chychrun as the Bruins will most likely use him as a rental and if they chose to sign him long term as well it might be to start coming up with deals for Lohrei because it's a terrible idea to let him play his RFA years all on the third pair. Not to mention Lohrei would likely get little to no powerplay time with Chychrun, McAvoy and Lindholm being better offensively at the moment. Poitras likely starts in the AHL thats why he's not on the roster.

All the signings are based on projections from daily faceoff. I've tried to hit the signings around that mark.

More years of endless Chychrun trade rumors.

    Chychrun UFA rumors.

    Then new Chychrun trade rumors.

    God help us all. ☹️

Chychrun is the modern day Forsberg and Iginla.

You don't want Roslovic in the top 6.

Its between him and tarasneko to make money work and Im not sure id rather have tarasenko for another 500k. He's 5 years older and roughly the same offensive output.

Don't see OTT retaining on Forsberg.

Roslovic is a waste signing, will get the same production from Geekie or Frederic there.

Poitras will be on the team.

Same offensive output? Not close. Roslovic can skate fast but sucks at everything else. Tarasenko can provide much more offense.

Points wise they're very similar over the last handful of years

boston doesnt consider taking forby unless they eat at least 700k-1.5m of his cap unless they give chyc + 1st + 2nd

all these moves are fairly good. imo somone like oloffson would be a great 2-3m for 2-3 years player, at worst 3rd liner who can score at best turns back into a good 2nd liner at dirt cheap money. sway i think will sign closer to 7-7.5 then 8. doubt pots isnt on the team but can see him being slowly worked back into a middle 6 role cuz hes so young no need to force him back and make an injury like that worse.

The pick combination will be higher than this unless they fully retain of Forsberg.

I’m curious to see how this plays out once the trade is formally announced.

I agree with you that Poitras likely makes the team as the third line center

I agree with just about everything, the only thing that stands out for me is sway. It is believed that he's looking for 8-8.5 on his next deal but boston has that magic to make players stay for cheaper so you might be right.

The big thing for me is that roslovic is 5 years younger and hes faster. He can learn to play a better 2 way game with how Boston plays. I'm just not a fan of tarasenkos game. I know he's been an oustanding player in the past but I think he's close to retiring at this point. Playing 3rd line minutes for florida, even though its florida, is not what a previously 40 goal scorer is likely looking for. Obviously he scores more goals and the bruins do need that but if they solely needed goals I'd go for stamkos but I didn't. Stammer although is likely a good fit in Boston, I feel is too old and slow to be on a line with anyone other than poitras or debrusk. Lack of speed killed them last year. Tarasenko is in the 57th percentile in speed (make sure you switch your NHL edge stats to regular season for that) and roslovic was in the 76th percentile. I know speed isn't everything but I feel like Roslovic would do better in the bruins system as he could grow more as a player over tarasenko taking up cash as a 33-35 year old (id give him max 2 years)

boston always gets players to sign for under there market. if hes looking for 8-8.5 u naturally would lower it to 7.5-8 being the deal and u include boston always gets people cheaper and everyone in boston loves this kid and see's him as a god(shout out mitch) so i dont think he would force himself to kill there cap for the next 5 years due to his contract
