How do we feel about this? maybe the preds dont want to let askrov leave but i here they are looking to sign saros long term so why keep him? nyquist is a sweetner as you probably let him walk after 1 year. give the flames a goalie maybe you have to up the 4th round pick. finally, this gives you options at the 2c... they could sign Drury, lindholm or stephenson, keep kotk and see how he does this year maybe on the 4l and move up kuzy or trade for one. I also dont want the canes to sign skjei long term but I feel like they will. I also love morrow as much as the next canes fan but i see it unlikely rod starts him right away.

Calgary's not interested in a goalie. They moved Markstrom so that Dustin Wolf could get NHL time this year. I can see Toronto or Ottawa paying for him

Doubt the Preds move Askarov.

Need to sign Drury. Pass on TDA - he’s not gonna be in top 6 here so unless he wants 7D again he goes elsewhere.

I agree we should sign drury but where does he fit? and I don't think there are to many opportunity's for TDA and he will get in for 30ish games for us he stays I think.

Freddy is a good presence for wolf and its not like wolf will play 65 games next year.

I think CGY is set in goal for the upcoming season.

Tank commanders Vladar, and Wolf are reporting for duty.

We'll likely target more picks and prospects with a Kuzmenko trade.

Kotkaniemi contract is way to long to think anyone is going to jump on that for that kind of return.

That contract might be unmovable currently due to it's length. No one wants a 6 year contract on a bottom 6 forward. GM just don't do that.
I'm not sure how CAR sheds that contract, but it's not like this, and it won't be cheap or easy.
