Murray had one year left on his deal & had Stanley Cups on his resume. No one trading for Jarry

leafs do not want a known playoff sieve for more than 5 million and they also dont want to pay for him when they can get a guy for free on july first

Murray was an RFA when he was traded then Ottawa handed him the horrible contract, Jarry is a 5.3m backup, which is exactly what Kuemper is and we literally just saw Kuemper get traded for arguably the worst contract in the NHL in Dubois. If Jarry gets moved it’ll be with assets for someone to take him, by Pittsburgh retaining salary on him or by Pittsburgh taking back a bad contract for him

If someone was willing to trade for Murry who looked horrible in net..... someone will trade for a guy that has stretches of good play last year with a really bad team in front of him.

Kuemper wasn't a 2 time all star goalie.
Murray was a tire fire when OTT traded for him.
If you are going to try to make points, please be honest about them. OTT traded for an oft injured tire fire. Then proceeded to give him a contract.
Jarry continues to have stretches of good play, he just has a poor defense in front of him and then gets injured.

Lets not confuse that at all with Kuemper. It's an apples to oranges comparison.

Being an All star means absolutely nothing now that every team has to have a player in the game, but if you wanna spit out facts you forgot to mention that Kuemper is a Stanley Cup champion.

To suggest Jarry got there due to every team needing a player is laughable. They had many players that could have been their instead. They choose Jarry because of his play.

To actually think Jarry has less value than Murry did really shows you don't know much of the situation.
If they got assets on Murry they will get a small return on Jarry too.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not like BOS fans over here looking for the world for their goaltender. Everyone knows that unreasonable. But to return a 2nd round pick is nothing.
