That’s terrible value for Boston.

No shot Sweeney would ever consider.

Pass on perbix too

how your moving 2nd with boucher for the 1 st round which the 2nd will be earlier for 1st next year when you guys will prob have a late first anyways and forsberg and peeke cancel both out cause bad contracts and chrycun with abit of value of boucher left equals the value for ullmark

Except Peeke played really well for the Bruins and looks like a bargain for all the criticism tossed at them at the deadline.

This trade is just plain bad for the Bruins. They’d be better off keeping Ullmark. They get no cap relief and end up worse on the pick front.

Personally, I think their target is the 25th pick and a prospect, but if they can find a play for Chychrun; they consider it. My guess is they have zero interest in Forsberg, but he may be part of the Chychrun consideration.

Peeke is garbage, he should be making close to league minimum as opposed to 2.75M for 2 more years. Borderline bottom pairing defenseman , would move him for a 4th round pick just to get him off the books. Need that money for the guys due next year (Marchand, Geekie, Frederic and Lohrei).

Did you actually watch him play post acquisition by the Bruins or you just reading the Columbus fans reports on him before the acquisition?

The bottom argument is actually an argument to keep Ullmark or trade him for an expiring.

Yeah, I've watched a game or two or every game for the past 25 years. Peeke contributes little to nothing on offense and an average defender. Based on that he should be making no more than $1M a year. I shook my head when Boston got him as he would be 3rd RD making $2.75M as he wouldn't be playing above Carlo so why would you be willing to pay that amount for a defenseman playing 10-12 minutes a game with little offensive abilities.

It appears an Ullmark for Chychrun based trade is all but assured at this point so you're basically evening out the cap hit for a puck moving offensive LD with 1 year remaining. If Chychrun plays well and looks to be something to build off moving forward then decisions will need to be made on Hampus/Lohrei or letting Chychrun walk and using his cap hit for the aforementioned players of Marchand, etc.
