I would love to keep Struble, but we have an over abondance of LD and a big need for a winger with potential upside. Struble is Physical, mean and could see him lead a great PK. great as your #4-6 defensive LD and still young

Value is not terrible. I don't know if the Devils want to trade Holtz or need Struble tho.

If NJ goes with Eiserman this means Holtz could be expendable, think this could be a good trade for both clubs

The Clarke trade may have been foreshadowing Holtz staying in New Jersey.

I don’t think Struble is the guy

Holtz isn’t moving.

We’ll be grabbing a veteran.

Also, just in general, the guys you feel like you can afford to lose from the dcore that ranked 2nd to last in the league in terms of preventing chances against, probably aren’t guys that a team trying to win would want.

you have ZERO clue how Struble is playing, you never watched him. He is good at his role and was starting to play well before his injury. We just have a LOG jam of LD right now, and it seems Montreal is interested with Biuim too

I don’t think this years draft picks will influence either way.

They are keeping Holtz for a reason. Last year, we would often feature all lefties on our power play…Hughes, Hughes, Bratt, Meier, Hischier. Mercer worked in some. And Toffoli was here for a bit. But going into next year, Holtz is probably a good candidate for PP time. He may be the only righty…and the hope is that he is standing on that left dot all season.

Guhle for Holtz is probably the neutral point that neither side wants.

MTL has so many dman who are apparently quality but again, combined for the 2nd worst dcore in hockey.

If the end result sucks, it’s either your coaching, your forwards are the worst in hockey by far (and I know you’ll start complaining about anything negative about Slaf Suzuki Caufield Dach newhook etc)

Or maybe, just maybe, the dman aren’t as good as you pretend they are. The curse of a young, bad score.

No blame to any individuals, because it’s everyone else’s fault, and everyone is judged by their role and not their play.

22 years old and in the NHL! Wow. Would he be in the NHL on 75% of teams, probably not, but hey.

Name me a player that is similar to Struble. Before you say Bahl, I can tell you that he isn’t him..

He’s unique. And he probably has a great value on the market.

And I can’t believe you’re out there saying Guhle for Holtz💀💀💀

Bro thinks he can get a top2 dmen for a career 30 points small winger and reclamation project.

Give names please. Struble isn’t just some tall hard playing dmen, he’s way more than that.
