That’s an easy no from Boston on that Necas deal.

I wouldn't do either of these as a B's fan, they can't afford to lose Poitras, and Chychrun is probably a tad overkill for what they need. I'd like to see another Peeke type player who can play third pair shutdown, but play top 4 if needed. Ullmark would be best used as an asset to acquire a center of some sort.

I respect the attempt made by a fan of a different team, but that Chychrun trade really doesn't accomplish any of what Boston wants to do with an Ullmark trade. In order they probably want:
-cap space
-top 6 forwards
-high end picks
-LHD (but they need a 3rd pairing guy, not a Chychrun type)
-prospects/AHLers

I know Poitras is a valuable prospect but the picks are probably going to be pretty low in the 25-32 range knowing Boston. There would have to be top 10 protection for sure.
I know Boston Fans really like Poitras but I believe Necas really fits into Bostons style. a really good 2 way player with offence. Hes playing on a very ow scoring Canes team and hes still not in his prime yet. My guess he can easily be a PPG player while being super reliable defensively. its all in what the scouting team thinks Poitras ceiling is. \ and if they want to continue retooling in Pastas window.

appreciate the respect before you sheet on me lol. Its fun to learn about other teams, how their fans value their players. what that team is trying to do etc.
So youre wanting a big Physical 2LD essentially. Which makes sense if you already have Lindholm and McCavoy as PP guys offensive guys. I wonder if Boston ill target Edmundson.
So I can see Boston wanting top 6 forwards , Marchand is going to be like 37 theres going to be regression reallllllly soon hes gunna have to o=move down a line .
SJSF liked this.

Edmundson has definitely come up, so have Dillon and Middleton. Someone who can control the extra curriculars. And you're exactly right, they are looking for top 6 guys in the same age range as their core, which is in my opinion between H. Lindholm at 30 and Swayman at 25 (with some younger pieces like Lohrei and Poitras)

2 terrible deals. Necas is NOT a 2 way player he lacks almost any D and is very much only valueable if he produces. Chyc is decent value but not a good fit. if they gave a 1st and him then its ok cuz chyc can be moved, necas is NOT worth all that pot is already a good NHL player nd necas is causing problems. hoffman and perry are kinda useless, a young kid and boqvist are better fits and cheaper, taking a chance on someone like oloffson wouuld be far better to fit the bruins, they also are going to be playing Lohrei top mins with McAvoy.

I believe that Necas would be a good acquisition, but my argument is you still have to pay a premium, stretch contract. LA did that with PLD who frankly has a similar three year production cycle and regretted it almost immediately. Necas would likely be more productive in Boston if they play him as a wing,

I have no qualms offering Ullmark and a 1st
Or
Lysell, a first, and a third

If they acquire Necas, they’d be taking picks and prospects for Ullmark.

I think PLD is a different player though hes known to be super inconsistent tbh i think ts his attitude.
