Additional Details:

The only team Toronto has leverage on in a Marner trade is Vegas. The Knights have to clear cap and still ice a competitive roster. Skip the LTIR jokes because as much as they abuse that loophole, they also gave away a guy who averaged 70 points a season for 4 years away for free because they needed cap space. I truly believe the Vegas rumours are true, and we're about to see the biggest blockbuster in a very long time.

Can't see a world where VGK would give up both of Pietro and Theodore for a year of Marner with no guarantee on an extension

Leafs Office 100% will take this deal only after July 1st with a sign&trade for Theodore for 5M AAV and Marner 12M AAV x8 years to do good by Marner.

Marner likely will waive for Vegas, he likes the spotlight..
