When did Ben Chiarot become a LW?

This is a move that solves A LOT of our problems. I don't think the SCAM has the vision or pride to make the move, but it alleviates the log jam we have on defense AND puts Chiarot and his terrible contract to some use. Chiarot and Petry single handedly ruined a playoff season for us last year. Are they bad hockey players? Not necessarily. They're just bad defensemen. But every time Chiarot "activated" last year, he looked great carrying the puck along the boards to the goal line and looking for an open player. He's big, and he skates forward relatively well in short bursts. Time to reduce his minutes from 19 a night on defense to 9 a night on the 4th line and let him fade out of his contract over the next 2 years. As a bonus, if we have injuries in game, we have an extra guy that can fill in 3rd pairing if we keep Chiarot and Petry in a 4th line role.
