Vancouver would never do this.

Same with "passenger" Ilya Mikheyev's... it's one contract for another there, not sure whose is longer as of press time, but the other part, Hronek for Konecny, is in favor of Vancouver. I think Konecny just brings more to a team than Hronek does. What could muddy the waters is the rumor that Konecny's camp is seeking around $10m + on his next contract. That will limit his fit in Vancouver, who should focus instead on re-signing Boeser for 2025-26 and beyond, and maybe a few of their others like Joshua or Zadorov (if his price comes down enough), and/or adding someone like Guentzel should his price be cheap enough.
