There is reasoning behind the signings and trades... As much as everything wants to throw hate to all trades with this team says no! Reality on a minor trade with low end picks, you have no idea. There are reasonings behind trades that us fans will never understand. My minor trade ideas if doesn't work with 1 trade, I can see another team offering a similar deal or a small work around with lower pick etc ...

I personally would. I made a leaf team with this exact trade a few weeks ago

Everything seems pretty reasonable. I’d be content with this off season from the leafs if Marner stays. (B) Only thing I’d change is the line combos.

Grab a C at the deadline and move domi to the top 6 wing.

Possibly. It is intriguing. My main issue personally with trading Liljegren is the fact that when we was fully healthy this year he looked like a true top 4 defender capable to producing a healthy amount of points. But he was often injured and struggled to rebuild his game after each injury regardless of severity.
Defenders tend to take longer to reach their prime meaning still a good chance for Liljegren to reach that.
Knowing that and our need for defense especially strong puck moving defenders makes me hesitant.
That being said Mathieu Joseph is on par for value and Joseph has good upside to play anywhere in middle 6.
It is definitely an intriguing idea.

I agree with that, the beauty of the lineup is ability to change combos with giving Cowan a shot over steeves. Steeves, Robertson, Domi, McMann can play around the wing slots and we didn't have a lot of cap room but I wanted to focus on defense so targeting a 3c or giving minten a bigger shot works. It's a risk leaving the 3 c still weak like this past year but Domi showed capable of producing fairly well that we can hopefully start the year with a Domi/minten at times as 3c and McMann to help insulate defensively..we can then as you said target a 3 c at the deadline.

The biggest issue with my team is the right side of defense. It is asking a lot. For McCabe to continue to grow on his off hand. For Liljegren to develop more capable to playing with Reilly when in need of offense and for Walker to prove this past year with Philly was not an aberration as he did struggle more with Colorado.
