You would have to pay us a 1st to take Laine. At least a first.

Think Laine for Norris is an option as both have injury issues but a ton of talent.
Sharks won’t take on Korpisalo for that sorry but we already have 2 goalies.
Ullmark would be a good option but it’s gonna take a 2nd and Pinto likely. Possibly 1st and Pinto and that’s a lot for 1 year.

Pinto and a 1st for Ullmark? Seems like an incredible overpay. Out of curiosity, where is that valuation coming from? Comps seem nowhere near that; they're not even near a 2nd and Pinto.

Think Boston was a looking for a top 6 C for Ulmark.
Pinto isn’t quite that level… yet.
So it’s my impartial assessment. I could be dead wrong but Boston isn’t giving Ullmark up for scraps, they will want top dollar.

Very true! Especially with so many teams vying to solidify their goaltending this off season. I could see Ullmark going to NJD for the 11th overall, which BOS then flips to a different team for a top line C (say, CGY for Kadri with retention?).

I am absolutely biased, but I'd be shocked if OTT were the team needing to add in a Pinto-Ullmark swap. A trade which is probably never going g to happen due to Ullmarks trade clause but nevertheless.

You’re likely right about this.
But one of Ullmark and Markstrom are going to Jersey this offseason. The other will be sought after by multiple clubs and desperation will raise their value with so little proven assets in FA.

I don’t believe it will take Pinto to secure Ullmark. I could see Chychrun retained or the Boston first plus a prospect like Jarventie might be an interesting play.

I’m curious to see how open Ullmark would be to playing with Ottawa if they gave him the right contract.

Korpisalo is gonna cost more than a deferred 2nd and a run of the mill depth defenseman to move that $4M x 4 contract.

Honestly that might be okay, but I would still say CLB would have to add some sort of pick or prospect, maybe a late 2nd or 3rd.

With Norris’s contract length, I’d probably view it the other way around even though I believe he’s the better player. That shoulder scares me
