I don't mind this because we could trade Trouba next year so that we are able to sign laf and igor and Yanni gouda and Barclay could play together. I would just switch the lines around a little but maybe putting othoman with mika and Krider together. another though we could trade trouba this year use that 8 million to get a decent third par defesenamn to play with jones. and than use like 5.5 of the million to get mika and kreider a rw to play with.

To me Trouba is not getting traded (with 2 years left on his deal). At the end of the day he is out captain and he alongside Laviolette did get us the President's trophy and a deep playoff run. Yes that run was cut short, but this season was not a total and utter failuire. To me next year out best course of action may be in doing a small tank (selling at the deadline).
1) Trade Trouba during the offseason
2) Trade Panarin for a kings ransom at the deadline (trying to resign him in the offseason)
3) Try to get a decently high pick in the 2026 draft (a DEEP draft year)

and then getting ready for the "next generation" to enter the top 6 with Othmann and Perreault.

Can't see Seattle trading Gourde until the TDL. But the value is probably about right. Less retention and you could probably just give up a 2nd.
