You may be right but Cup windows are short and Necas can be a game beaker only 25yrs old. Lots of time to replace Willander in years to come

Necas = A asset
I’d say podkolzin an C+asset an NHLer and Willander “A” prospect. 2 years away no doubt Willander will be a good NHL player. Sacrificing a bit now while the core is entering their prime is part of building a cup contender.

They gave up a 1st for miller that worked out 😎

Yep. They have a glut of middle 6 wingers and don't need a 29 year old one and a 2026 2nd round pick is junk.
