kakko = 2nd schneider = a high second which is about value i think of with smith especially with retention. could boost NYR top6 or even 3rd line gives kakko a second chance.
Bos trade is just for some useful depth thats redundant in BOS.
They are kinda screwed next year no matter what so hopefully the cap goes up 7M next year for them

They would never consider Schneider for Smith.

All these mind readers in your comments somehow know exactly what Chris Drury, Peter Laviolette, and James Dolan are thinking or how they would respond. Chances are since they're competing, if they're young with depth at D then it makes their D expendable Schneider isnt going to get minutes over their captain or a Norris finalist calibre D in Fox. He's playing bottom pairing. Definitely attainable.

Lmao just say you don’t know hockey and we can all agree on that

Schneider has proved himself better than Trouba and ready for the 2nd pair role

They quite literally demoted Trouba and moved Schneider to the 2nd pair in the playoffs so that is simply not true.

Rangers decline Kakko for Smith straight up.

And realistically if you Pittsburgh wanted Schneider is would cost at least Smith, Yager and a high pick to get the conversation started.

my thoughts exactly and kakko value is almost nothing but a mid round pick. there in a hard win now mode so trading a young D who is going to need to get paid in 2 years when ur captain is making 8 and fox is 9.5 so while I agree Pit might have to add a pick or 2 to get the deal i think its easily not far off from a convo.

you are overvaluing Schneider to an other worldly value. kakko wouldnt land u smith straight up. kakko is a struggling young player who hasnt had any breakout year was the #1 over pick and is looking to be a 3rd or 4th liner at best with an expensive name. smith is an established top 6 playoff experienced player who would be going to a team that needs to win in the next 2-3 years. while i think Pit may have to add a pick or 2 for value ur idea of Schneiders value is absurd

Not really. You're just not very knowledgeable. Sorry but you are absolutely incorrect.
A bit naive.... don't worry you will grow up one day and understand what the adults were referring to.

That sounds more like the start to a much bigger blockbuster than just Schneider. Who are they acquiring? Panarin?
