The blues need to focus on the future whether you like it or not, they are not in position to be all-in

at his RS contract, Hayes is a nice 3C add for teams looking to improve

Focusing on the future and making bad trades are two different things. There is no reason to trade parayko for that little, the buch trade is weak, hayes isnt returning that much, and the oilers can trade campbell elsewhere. Not to mention, there is zero chance of the rangers paying a first to trade trouba and retaining salary.

Hes fine but the Sabres need more than just fine. Its the very cost effective, safe move that has annoyed sabres fans for a decade

Re: Trouba:

From a NYR point of view, you would need to lose the draft pick.

Blues fans like Tsmash and KPM12 are correct; Jacob Trouba is a walking cluster puck. The Rangers and their fans are stuck with him.

I really don't think that we would trade Buch within our own division. Even in the even of Tankin for Hagens. I don't mind the idea of finishing around 7th-10th in the draft again especially with kids like Hensler and Radivojevic and some other good defensemen eligible for 2025 draft

Rangers would much rather but trouba out instead of sending a first and retaining salary

You can keep productive veterans and focus on the future. There’s virtually nothing in the Parayko, Buch or Binnington trades that warrant tanking like that. The most freely movable trade piece you have there being Buchnevich, you actually didn’t focus on the future at all you traded for another undersized offensive leaning defenseman who is in their mid to late 20s already.

What are you on about? They're already focused on the future, which should not and will not include doing something so monumentally stupid as pissing away the primes of Thomas and Kyrou.

Besides, other than the Buffalo trade and a Rags trade that won't ever happen, your valuations are HORRID. That Parayko nonsense is a human rights violation.

Why would the Blue trade Binnington? also why would NJ want him over Ullmark,Saros,Markstorm and Gust? you panicking for no reason. Also why would NJ just trade Allen away after he was good for them? Just cuz he was an ex blue doesnt mean he needs to go back.

He's a Rangers fan. Who clearly doesn't keep up with the Blues.

Parayko has been near replacement level the last two seasons using naturalstattrick and evolving hockey data, plus this is way better than waiting a few yrs for parayko to be like a Vlasic situation in sjs. For the time being, Vancouver can hope he is the type of guy to play well with Hughes at a relative affordable cost. Pending UFA wings have historically not commanded much in the trade market, we saw this last offseason with Toffoli last offseason.

opportunity to sell high on binner (he has had some horrific seasons prior to this one), they have Hofer who was impressive last season and Allen can still play decent hockey. much more affordable from an asset standpoint than acquiring those other goalies

tears of joy

You should try actually watching hockey. Parayko was massive this past season. Try using subjective individual stats, he's at or near the top of most of them.

And loads of lesser UFAs get better returns, but that's irrelevant because Buch is not on the block as they were. And none of that matters because the Blues do NOT trade impact players to rivals. End of story.
