What's with these whackadoodle trades from VanCity all the sudden? Anything that includes Thomas is pure fantasy. Anything that also includes Parayko and Neighbours is just worrying. Come back down, man.

Garland has more value to the Canucks than he would in a trade. Even though Neighbours is probably more valuable, it doesn’t make sense for the Canucks to downgrade Garland to Neighbours while contending

Mikheyev has a bad contract yes, but Parayko’s is also very risky. Personally I wouldn’t want to take on that contract

So the Canucks downgrade at center, downgrade on the wing, and take on a questionable long term contract while trying to contend. So yes they do decline

Heh. Extremely confident the Canucks would find your value analysis to be overly generous to the home town. Way overly. Refusing to trade Petey is the only thing that could stop them from taking/running.
