Cheap for Klingberg

Why do so many Leaf fans have this obsession with Murray and Klingberg? Way too much term for Lindholm.

Too much term and too much money but he wont come here unless thats the contract, sometimes its worth overspending or overcommitting when there is no solution for the 2C position in sight. deal with the consequences later. the alternative is the get no one.

I think his only offer will be league min, coming off major hip surgery and two bad seasons. let him walk if its more.

No team should vastly overpay and beat out the other 31 teams to sign a UFA. Don't know why you think the Leafs need a 2C next year. They have Tavares.
Now the summer of 2025 when Tavares (and likely Marner) are gone, Leafs will cap to make a logical decision on their centre position. Hopefully Minten is ready in 2025/26 though I doubt he is truly a 2C.
The alternative is to sign Domi this summer and he can play wing or centre.
Leaf fans have seen Tavares and Brodie slow down in their early 30s, but somehow they think signing players till age 37 is wise.
