If the Blues could get a sign and trade from Marner this would be a great deal. The problem is the Blues would probably want to flip Marner and he would probably still want a 9-10 million dollar contract.

I think buch 25% retained for Marner would be a great fit for both teams. buch with matthews would be a very scary line their play styles match. Marner and thomas with Neighbours would be a very good line with high offense and annoying as hell to play against.

Not chance TO wants anything to do with this cap dump.
Maybe if it was just Marner they would consider it.
But why would they give up all the rest just to take on another teams problems? This doesn't get TO any closer to winning. It sets them back and puts a bigger cap crunch on them then they already have. Blues will need to solve their own cap problems. Nobody is going to feed them great young players for cap dumps.
