2C > 2RD. Necas is younger, more talented, and plays a more valuable position with non-stupid demands. Necas is more valuable. It's not close.

Necas is a winger and you're kidding yourself if u think he's worth more than Hronek. If given PP1 time he'd easily put up 60 points, offensively gifted RDs are some of the most valuable assets in the NHL.

Value isn't remotely close, a 2/3C with MAJOR injury problems, a fringe Top 4 D, and talentless goon, who with how many fights he gets in will likely have his career end in less than 5 years after a series of bad head injuries, for a franchise center with 100+ point and Selke potential. That would be one of, if not, the worst trade in NHL history if it happened.

And Hronek isn't one of them... his counting stats are heavily inflated by Hughes. He's a 40-ish point D man. Necas is a center than has already shown 60+ point pace multiple times in his career, and has even passed 70. You're on the good stuff if you think Hronek is worth more than Necas. C's are THE most valuable assets in the NHL
