If Brady asked out I would do that idc. Byfield is a perfect replacement and only 21.

Does it seem like an overpay or pretty fair in your opinion?

Hard to say. I think Byfield for Brady seems pretty close, but I'd assume you need to dump PLDs contract to make room for Brady~ Prob wouldn't need to include the picks if Staios was interested in PLD also but I'm not sure!

if we’re living in a world where brady actively asks for a trade, I’d be perfectly happy with the outcome being he goes all the way out west, and byfield comes back in return

the PLD stuff, who knows. Sens would definitely have to move Norris in turn, but that’s doable

No way LA trades Byfield as the are gonna build around him and Clarke. But what about something around Tkachuk for Kempe?

Kempe is a stud, just think if they trade Brady it won’t be for an older player. It will be for a young stud such as Byfield who fits in the age group with Timmy and Sandy~

Understandable. I just don't see LA trading Byfield at all. He is gonna be the face of the next franchise core.

LA is big on the "hockey is for everyone" theme (very woke organization) and they like using Byfield and his skin color for their campaigns which happens at like every home game that there's a theme. It's very horrible as an LA fan that they care more about those items than hockey. So I doubt LA would move him for that reason also.

I think the four guys most unlikely to move in LA would be Byfield, Clarke, Anderson and Kempe. And if Ottawa is trading Tkachuk than it would have to involve one of those four. Of those four, Kempe would probably move first. I said Kempe for Tkachuk because I think he'd fit well with Stutzle and he is still young enough to count as a veteran core leader. He is also the only 40 goal scorer LA has had in the last 20 years and that's a very hard thing to do on an LA team that is very defensive.
