I would not do this as a Flyers fan. The flyers lack skill and centers and trading one and not getting a top 6 center in return does not make sense for Philly. Also I do not think they would part with a first for a guy like Necas would have to be a better player and a center.

The only way they make a trade like this is if they believe Necas can be a full time center. IF that were the case he is a huge upgrade over Frost. KK if nothing else gives them a good third line center and his contract won't be bad in 2-3 years. A change of scenery could do him some good though as well and the potential is there for him to be a second line center. So yeah, the entire idea behind the trade is to strengthen the Flyers down the middle which is their biggest need.

Good point but in this trade you also lose your only natural left winger. People are down on him because of his poor 2nd half but he is still a great player. Trading Frost for Necas an KK still leaves them with a whole in the top 6 for C. Coot, KK, Laughton, Poehling are all bottom 6 centers in my opinion.
