i like this idea of shaking up the team because it is going no where while Bergavin is GM.

As a Pens fan' I'd like this trade more if you put Juulsen instead of a 3rd and a 4th round picks. We don't want picks. We're in a 5 years window to win as many cups as possible.

There's no way Tavares takes a 5 years contract, unless you throw a crazy AAV. He will look at a 7 years deal (8 if he stays in Long Island or the Islanders trade him or his negociation rights), it's the best chance of his career to earn a big payday so I don't see him taking less than 10 millions for 5 years which would greatly reduce the total income he could get out of his career.

Tavares will probably want a 8-10 year contract and will likely get it if he becomes a UFA.

That Mackinnon trade is so very unrealistic. Colorado is trading a franchise player and the only key component they have to that supposed rebuild for a 2nd liner who's already in his prime and a 3rd liner who is vastly overpaid. Picks that far away hold very little value as well as Colorado doesn't know if that'll be pick 15 or pick 30 in the draft, either way it is nowhere close.
