small sample size but he looked great and for a league minimum deal it could be a steal year 2-3 if he continues improving

It sounded like the coaching staff is cautiously optimistic about him, so getting him for the League minimum is great for the Pens.

I don't know what people going on about.
He's gonna be the next Chad Ruhwedel.
A 7th guy, good enough to bounce back and forth between the NHL and the AHL.

But he really hasn't show he's NHL caliber.
His 5v5 Corsi was a whopping 44.1.

If that's the plan for the 3rd pairing this team is in deep trouble going forward.

The only good thing about this signing is the league min part. I hope the AHL salary is much lower than that.

Don't really see anything wrong with this. Cheap contract for someone who could have NHL upside in the near future

League miunimum, whats not to like.

Hes a solid young guy, but its a stretch to call him an NHLer, and a stretch to think he'll ever become one on a full time basis.

But in a land of Ruhwedel, Ludvig, Ryan Sheas, hes okay.
