What you mean by that? Holtz has great upside that you could easily pair this Tim (not spelling that last name) on the first line if you develop him correctly. Trust me if the Devils would just develop him and not sit him on the bench the entire game. This trade would make a lot more sense. Mercer had a great first 3 years in league and literally has never missed a game in his entire career. Kaapo, let’s face it we are both trying to find a goalie. Then the pick, this years draft class has great pieces all around, it just is the Devils already have all of the pieces they already need at forward and D. All Tkachuk is going to do is to be paired with Hughes so he is not the only person on his line doing anything. Trust me the Sens are getting the better deal and the only reason I purposed this trade is because the Devils can’t develop and we just need another star to be paired with Hughes on the second line.

in the 21 games that Travis Green was head coach of the New Jersey Devils, Dawson Mercer had 5 points. Alexander Holtz had 4. I don't think he's banging on the table for either of these to come over in exchange for his new captain lmao
