Description
Detroit needs to cut costs and improve their D at the same time. There are a lot of bad contracts on this team. I think they realistically could swing for the fences and trade for a local guy in Trouba. I still think Mrazek can become an Elite goalie but Keith Petruzzelli could be the steal of the 2017 draft. He could very well be ready to be the franchise goalie once Howard's contract is up.

Why is everyone trying to trade Glendening? He is a great face off man with decent two way abilities for relatively cheap! He's a solid bottom six center and a 5/6 rounder is not enough for him

Vancouver who going to be a bottom five team trades a first rounder for Mrazek. No teams would give up so much without trading money back to the Wings,

I do like Glendening as well but he's probably the most expendable player on the active roster that Detroit actually has a chance to move. There was no need to give a 4th line center a 4 year deal. With how strong the 2018 draft is supposed to be, I'd rather get picks there and you can always bring someone up from GR to do what Glendening does at half the cost.

I'd imagine they would resign Sheahan so he could stay as the 4th line center. If he gets moved then you could bring up Dominic Turgeon or Tangradi at some point in 2018 and see if you have something there. The biggest think on Kenny is that he terms role players like they are top 6 forwards.. Abdelkader is the biggest and most painful example of this.
