To be fair, Walhstrom is no value. They won't qualify him. And to be honest, LA have better players than Wahlstrom.

Lou will ask Engvall to go with Sorokin for taking that risk with Dubois. And I doubt that Blake want to to that. He wants to fill his goalie needs and veteran with a short contract to have more flexibility.

And Patrick Roy is maybe uninterested to have Dubois. He will lean into former Remparts players who've had success with him

These are the Roy s next target:

Zach Bolduc from STL, Malatesta from Columbus, Gaucher from Anaheim, Marchessault UFA and Duclair UFA.

So I see more a Sorokin deal to Columbus to get offense or right defense top 4 material. And Kent Johnson, Dumais, Maletesta and/or Boqvist could be interesting add to Isles.

Lou may trade other assets to reshape his offense too.

Zero chance that Lou trades Sorokin. His philosophy has always been to build from the goal out. If they move Sorokin, they have no other NHL-ready goalies in the org besides 36-year-old Varly, who hasn't had an injury-free season in about four years. Aside from that, moving on from Sorokin before his eight-year extension kicks in screams "this contract is a mistake" which A) no GM is going to want to admit he made that big a mistake before giving the player a chance to bounce back, and B) trading him now is doing so at his absolutely lowest value, which would be a terrible mistake; he didn't forget how to goalie overnight and is very motivated to come back strong next year.

We're not trading Sorokin unless it's for highway robbery, and we're certainly not taking on Dubois and his attitude and contract.
