I think he could make about 500k more with the isles, but if he wants a trade, and he gets traded to mtl, Bergevin can convince him to take slightly less.

I think Bergevin would need to pay more for one simple reason...Taxes. Canadian clubs tend to be on No trade lists just because of that-and Montreal is the worst (there are a few American clubs that have bad taxes like Carolina - but a lot are super cheap like Tampa, Nashville and Dallas-remember the difference in the Radulov deal for the exact same contract...3.8m) I hate taxes.
