Description
Maybe 1 of these will be realistic. Kevyn bring some Buffalo pride back home...

Have seen the Iafallo deal often.
Kaner can come home with TERM which is what he wants.
Kraws was a Hobey watchlist who played at Jr Buff Sabres. (Need an AHL goalie).
Farabee from Cuse gets a top 6 job locked down.

UFAs
Comrie likes the Org.
Gilbert is a decent depth D.
Bailey is an energy 4th liner the team has been missing.
DeSimone nice depth RD.
Potularski nice 4C depth and Roch guy.

Keep guys in the org like Biro, Weissbach, Cecconi (from Buff) and Davies. Murray can crack this lineup.
Robinson (was a hard skater last year, needs some offensive touch - redevelop in AHL)

Komorov has NHL size, skating is suspect maybe but nice RD Offensive production from QMJHL.

Not all of your ideas are bad, but you have things a bit messed up. You have Peterka third line Center when he is a winger only, and Kane is not signing here to play third line minutes. I appreciate some out of the box thinking, bringing in players with some local ties, but these are Band-Aids that don’t really help much. I could get on board with the Ferabee trade, but I doubt Philadelphia goes for it unless 1 of our top prospects is in the deal (Savoie, Ostlund, Kulich).

Komarov is still ways away he can’t skate just like Novikov if they fix their skating they will be NHL players.

The local ties were for fun.

There has been few clips of JJ playing Center, I think his skating and relentlessness could translate down middle - played some in Germany.

Could flip Quinn back to Center where he had played in Rochester. (AHL Rookie of the year - played Center)

I'd be willing to send Ostlund or Kulich for an established 20 goal scorer.

The disconnect we have is that you probably shouldn’t give up Ostlund, Savoie, or Kulich unless you’re getting a 30 goal man. Ferabee could do that, but hasn’t yet.

Farabee *sp*
Not getting rid of Kulich.

Asset A: Has 13 career goals in the highest level Professional Swedish Hockey League is 20 years old.
Asset B: Has 2 career goals in the 2nd highest level of professional hockey in the world is 20 years old
Asset C: Has 82 career goals in the highest level of hockey in the world and is 24 years old.

We should not give up Asset A or B for Asset C?

You’re thinking in the very reductive sense. In that respect San Jose should trade us the number one overall pick for Zach Benson because Macklin Celebrini doesn’t have any goals at the professional level, and Benson already has 11 at age 18. Cutting bait too soon on high-end prospects can get you burned. The classic that I keep coming back to is, we don’t want to be the team that trades another Filip Forsberg for Martin Erat.

I’m not saying bringing in a player like Farabee isn’t exactly what the Sabres should do. But you have to spend your assets wisely, and be very careful with the best of them. Savoie Is currently playing like a man on a mission in the junior playoffs, Ostlund, Wahlberg, Rosen, and Kulich are producing in the AHL playoffs. They all sound like the type of players you hang onto at this point. If you’re going to move one of them, it will not be an easy decision.
