That's a massive overpay for one year of Saros. Leafs sign a UFA goalie, Cowan and Minten are Leafs in 2025.

NSH accepts. Would probably throw in a 3rd round pick and have Saros come with extension as part of the deal.

Dallas really doesn't have the cap space to take on an overpaid $11M winger. Not to mention that he's going to want more money next offseason. Purely from an on-ice perspective, sure it looks like a fine trade, but that contract is a MASSIVE roadblock for the Leafs if they want to trade him anywhere.
