  1. Necas, Martin [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Chatfield, Skjei, Pesce, and TDA are all UFAs. They also have 0 signed defenseman past the 24-25 season. I'm not sure how the cap space would be I havent looked into it so in the comments lmk about that. I think EK would be a good fit and it would give Morrow an extra year to settle in until Burns retires or is ready to take that RD2 spot. I'm also not sure would would add in a deal like this. I think Necas would make a lot of sense for the pens. Lmk about who adds and what they'd be interested in.

Don’t think trading Necas for an aging defenseman is the best idea. Especially for a defenseman closer to Burns or DeAngelo than Pesce or Chatfield.

We already saw how bad Burns and EK worked together before. Not sure why that would be tried again.

Dillon, Montour, and Stephenson are not signing those contracts.

That would only be for 1 season so that’s not much of an argument, but i could see the hesitation.

Both the Dillon and Stephenson deals are fine. Dillon isn’t even worth that much.

Stephenson is a center and will be in high demand because of that. He probably gets 6M long term easily. Dillion cap hit might be fine but the term is not at all realistic
