So I take it you don't think they should forfeit the pick this year?

Not too sure either is available. I think MTL takes Tij at 5, and Utah gets Parekh 6. That should leave Catton or Sennecke

Silayev will go before the Sens pick . So one of Iginla/Parekh will be on the board

    1. Celebrini, that's a lock
    2. Demidov, don't see CHI skipping on a Bedard-Demidov duo
    3. Lev, ANA 100% picks him with this opportunity.
    4. Lindstrom. It seems like its been a decent amount of time that Lindstrom to CLB will happen if the chance is there
    5. Iginla. Only way its not would be Sennecke here, but Tij seems like someone Hughes would prize
    6. Parekh. Utah gets the best RD on the board

Silayev isn’t dropping that low. Bob McKenzie rankings are usually right based on scouts. You’re thinking every team is gonna draft for need. Doesn’t usually happen

If Silayev went somewhere here, it would be Utah at 6. The top 5 really seems to be trending towards that direction

I saw a report Columbus has a strong interest in Silayev .

Possible. Just depends on if Lindstrom is higher on their list, which I think he is

Unless you are really convinced you are going to be picking 6th OA or less in BOTH the 2025 AND 2026 drafts, why the hell would you forfeit a 7th OA pick?

    I need some reasoning

Then Ottawa picks up Silayev. Problem solved. He's ranked twice by Bob and THN, and top-5 by several other sources.

Not sure why you said "That should leave Catton or Sennecke" then

Honestly if the Sens .884 save percentage doesn’t improve , they deserve to lose the 1st overall pick and fold the team

I could maybe sign with them, I am a goalie. Just give me a magic potion to make me younger and 6'4

seems like 2025 won't be as deep as 2026, so hopefully the sens don't tank next season

Might be a good year to finally make the playoffs. Staios and Green need to be up to the task.
